RoadRunner 2019.1 is here! ⚡

Time flies when you're having fun! We are super excited about this release and are confident that VectorZero RoadRunner 2019.1 brings some valuable updates to you. This should be a minor release but it's packed with some pretty major improvements! Without further ado, here’s what you can look forward to: 


EXPORT:

  • Direct-to-CARLA export

  • New export format (GeoJSON)

  • VIRES VTD export

  • OpenDRIVE and other export improvements

IMPORT:

  • OpenDRIVE road plan geometry is now exactly preserved after import and better handles bad data

NEW MODELING FEATURES:

  • Explicit Road Curves (support for clothoid spirals, line segments, arcs & parametric cubics)

  • Cubic road elevation to support importing cubic elevation from OpenDRIVE

  • Improved road and marking triangulation, and road projections

  • Improved support for non-georeferenced GIS data

  • Prop polygons now have an option to place props in a uniform grid

UX IMPROVEMENTS:

  • More robust documentation online! 🖺

  • Performance improvements 🏎️

  • More key usability improvements 🔥
